Face GFC (Collagen Booster) at Dentistaa, Sector 50

Face GFC (Collagen Booster) at Dentistaa, Sector 50

GFC stands for growth factor concentrate. A small amount of your own blood is drawn, processed to separate out the growth factors your body already uses to repair tissue, and then put back into the skin of the face. The aim is to encourage the skin to make more collagen, so that texture, firmness and glow improve gradually over the following weeks.

Who it suits

It is not done during pregnancy, with some blood and clotting conditions, on blood-thinning medicines without advice, or over active skin infection. That is why the medical history comes first.

What happens at your visit

The consultation

Dr Toshika looks at your skin, takes a medical history and explains what GFC can and cannot do for you. You are told how many sessions she expects and the cost before anything is booked.

The session

  1. A numbing cream is applied to the face.
  2. A small blood sample is taken from the arm, much like a routine blood test.
  3. The sample is processed to separate the growth factor concentrate.
  4. The concentrate is put into the skin with fine needles or microneedling.

The whole visit usually takes about an hour, most of it waiting for the numbing to work and the sample to be prepared.

When you see results

Collagen builds slowly. Most people notice fresher skin in the first couple of weeks, with texture and firmness improving over the following month or two. GFC is usually done as a course of a few sessions spaced several weeks apart, and the dentist will say how many she thinks your skin needs.

Why at Dentistaa

GFC involves needles and a blood sample, so it belongs in a clean clinical setting with a trained clinician. At Dentistaa it is done by Dr Toshika Dudeja, who trained in facial aesthetics at IIFA (IOA, USA), in the same clinic at Baani Square, Sector 50 that patients describe as spotless.

Frequently asked questions

Is GFC the same as PRP?

They are related. Both come from your own blood, but GFC is processed to concentrate the growth factors themselves. The dentist will explain the difference at your consultation.

Does Face GFC hurt?

A numbing cream is applied first, so most people feel only mild pricking. The blood sample feels like a routine blood test.

How many sessions will I need?

Usually a short course of a few sessions spaced several weeks apart. The number depends on your skin and is decided at the consultation.

How much does Face GFC cost?

It depends on how many sessions your skin needs. The cost is told to you at the consultation, before anything is booked.

Treatment costs mentioned on this page are indicative ranges for the Gurugram region. Your exact cost depends on your case and will be confirmed after a clinical examination at the clinic.
